Meet Our Teachers

Hello, and welcome! My name is Haleigh, and I am the owner of Honey Bee's Early Learning Center. I have been an Englewood local for 25 years! Before opening Honey Bee's ELC, I spent nearly 10 years working in various school settings with children of all ages. I hold a Child Care Director's Credential, as well as a CDA (child development associate) certification. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, Isla, and my dogs, Bailey and Rhett, as well as baking and traveling. 

I'm Mandy, and my current professional role is VPK aide at Honey Bee's Early Learning Center. My previous career experience includes leading a successful remedial reading program targeting Kindergarten through fourth grade students. I'm especially passionate about children's literacy. I have taught for the last decade in Englewood, FL. Prior to my long held education position, I led children's and adult programs for health, fitness, and aquatics. I'm a junior at University of Florida studying Education Sciences, specializing in Education Technology. My hobbies outside of education include boating, fishing, sailing, gardening, cooking, reading, the arts, and spending time with friends and family. I am a wife and mother to Maren and Charlie.  

Hi my name is Ali, I grew up in Englewood and have always had a passion for education and helping young minds grow. I'm currently pursuing my degree to become a teacher and have been working as a lead teacher for two-year-olds. With hands-on experience and a deep love for early childhood education, I'm committed to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for every child I work with.

Hello! My name is Hope and I am proud to be from Georiga. I'm a dedicated teacher and a proud mom of three wonderful children - one boy and two girls. My love for children extends beyond my own family and into my classroom, where I strive to create a safe, encouraging and fun learning enviornment. When I'm not teaching, you can usually find me enjoying the outdoors. I love spending time outside, exploring nature and making memories with my family. I'm excited to inspire, support and grow alongside my students this year!

Hello! My name is Sonya, and I am excited to be part of the team here at Honey Bee's as a substitute! I recently moved to the area from Upstate New York, where I worked in childcare for 9 years, beginning in special education and later gaining experience in elementary general education. I absolutely love working with children watching them learn new skills, gain confidence, and expressing their personalities is the most rewarding part. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time by the water with my family and exploring all that the area has to offer.
