Our three-year-old classroom is a vibrant, active space where children are encouraged to explore, imagine, and take greater ownership of their day. With a full-day schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, we support each child's growing sense of self and their natural curiosity through meaningful routines and responsive relationships. At this stage, independence flourishes - children are learning to manage transitions, care for their belongings and participate in group activities with increasing confidence.
We believe young children learn best by doing, and our classroom is filled with opportunities for hands-on exploration. Children are immersed in sensory-play, open-ended art and nature-based experiences that promote critical thinking and creativity. Teachers design developmentally appropriate provocations and small group invitations that encourage children to ask questions, make choices and express their ideas through a variety of materials and experiences. Learning is joyful, active and deeply rooted in the interests of the children.
Three-year-olds are developing stronger social skills and beginning to understand the responsibilities of being part of a group. We support this growth by modeling kindness, encouraging collaboration and helping children navigate social problem-solving with empathy and respect. Routines like snack time, clean-up and transitions offer opportunities to practice independence and self-regulation. Through consistent expectations, positive guidance and a carefully prepared environment, we help children gain confidence in themselves as learners and valued members of the classroom community.
